My Health Space: What is this Ameli "digital space" that the Minister of Health is calling for to be activated?

My Health Space: What is this Ameli "digital space" that the Minister of Health is calling for to be activated?
Interviewed this Thursday, July 10, on the Grandes Gueules set, Health Minister Yannick Neuder promoted the digital health space, a tool intended for "better care" and a means of combating fraud.

The only holiday homework required. As the summer season begins, Health Minister Yannick Neuder wants the French to go on vacation with their digital health information up to date.

As he explained this Thursday, July 10, on RMC's Grandes Gueules program , the minister intends to generalize the use of this digital tool designed to improve patient monitoring and combat sick leave fraud and fake prescriptions. The scheme aims to plug the €13.5 billion loss per year linked to social security fraud.

"If there's one holiday duty we can ask of the French, it's that they take their digital health record with them," says Yannick Neuder.

According to figures provided by the minister, 40 million French people have an Ameli account, but only 21 million of them have activated their digital health space.

Fight of the day - Yannick Neuder:

Since the implementation of the Ameli account by the Health Insurance, each French taxpayer has been able to activate their digital health space intended to store and share all documents and information useful for medical monitoring with their healthcare professionals.

"Beyond the medical record, this service provides access to secure messaging, as well as a catalog of health services and applications referenced by public services, and then, eventually, to a medical diary," explains the Health Insurance.

In addition to better monitoring, promised by the Minister of Health, this digital space also aims to put an end to fake sick leave certificates and falsified prescriptions, most of which can be obtained online.

In the case of prescriptions, the paper format is kept by the patient and the doctor records a digital version (if the space is open and the practitioner is equipped).

The paper prescription now contains a QR code that can be read by a pharmacist. "And soon by all relevant and equipped healthcare professionals (nurses, laboratories, physiotherapists, etc.)," the Health Insurance Agency specifies.

To activate it, simply go to the website monespacesante.fr .

Once the account is created, the insured can log in with their Mon espace santé or FranceConnect credentials with one of the ameli.fr, impots.gouv.fr, La Poste Digital Identity, Mobileconnect et moi or MSA.fr credentials.
